WORK ZONE SAFETY

Did you know that work zone fatalities are down 29.6 percent compared to 2003? Aggressive law enforcement and awareness campaigns in addition to significant improvements to work zone safety traffic control has reduced Illinois work zone fatalities from 44, including 5 workers, in 2003 to 30, including 3 workers, killed in 2010.
So, Give ‘em a brake…slow down for their sake and yours!

IDOT appreciates your patience and understanding as we work to improve the roadways in your community.
