The Loan/Reproduction videotapes will be numbered V001-V499. These videotapes have been reviewed for content, technical presentation, and relevance to our audience.  Many of these tapes are used for training. These videotapes have the following guidelines for distribution: 

  1. The IL T2 Center reproduces copies of these videotapes as requested. We will record one video per blank videotape furnished. Please submit one blank videotape for each tape requested.
  2. The IL T2 Center loans these videotapes (maximum of 4) for two weeks during which time these tapes may be copied.
  3. The IL T2 Center places electronic video streams on the internet for downloading or web viewing. Windows Media Player is required.

The Roadway Safety Foundation in conjunction with the South Carolina DOT has launched a safety public education campaign called Recognize, React, Recover: Using Rumble strips to Prevent Run-off-the-Road Crashes, A new DVD details the benefits of rumble strips in preventing run-off-the-road crashes.

Motor graders are routinely use by county/city road agencies. This training video focuses on the operator's pre-start inspection (sometimes referred to as a pre-start "walk-around") of the motor grader.

This video reflects the observations and opinions expressed by several very experienced personnel, based on the knowledge they gained through years of hands-on experience. It is our goal in distributing this video to share their collective expertise to benefit productivity and safety of county/city road agencies.

The information presented in this video is meant only as a training aid and does not cover all the different aspects of operating and inspecting a motor grader. We recognize that counties and cities operate motor graders made by a variety of manufacturers, and it's important to consult your local vendor about any specific operation or inspection questions you may have.
