CURRENT CADD CONFIGURATION

The Department is running MicroStation V08.05.02.35 and GEOPAK 2004 V08.05.02.35 on Windows XP platforms. Currently there are 370 MicroStation seats, 122 PowerDraft seats, and 315 GEOPAK seats located in 9 District Offices and the Central Site throughout Illinois.

The following executable file allows for the complete IDOT CADD environment to be loaded to a defined folder. After running the current executable (idotcad_V2004.exe 6.7 MB effective 9/07/07)*, please review the “ReadMeNow.txt” file which explains the IDOT environment set up and configuration procedure.

Included are the necessary MicroStation and GEOPAK files to setup and run GEOPAK typical section generator according to IDOT standards. Periodic updates for downloadable CADD files will continue to be posted below.

*September 7, 2007 release addresses a few fixes and enhancements; but mainly the new 22x34 plan sheet size revision, read the Version_History.txt file for information.  A reminder about IDOT Standard Checker refer to the MicroStation Standard Checker.doc file. Also please review individual folder specific ReadMe files for documentation and historical details of changes.

Consultants should contact appropriate District Project Manager for any additional information before using MicroStation V8.5 and GEOPAK 2004 on any IDOT contract.
