Illinois Route 3
IL Route 3 to Collinsville Avenue is a
new construction project entailing building a
two lane connector road from IL Route 3 to
Collinsville Avenue potentially utilizing a
portion of First Street. Forming the Citizens
Advisory Group allowed IDOT to obtain input from
the community regarding the travel obstacles in
the area. The at grade railroad tracks on IL
Route 3 are a hindrance because travel time
could not be relied upon. This has an impact on
businesses in the area.
