Services

This is one of the Illinois Department Of Transportation's Emergency Patrol Vehicles.  These vehicles patrol the Illinois Metro-East Interstate system and assist motorists as needed.The goal of the Emergency Traffic Patrol is to minimize the disruption of traffic as a result of disabled vehicles, crashes, and debris. We also strive to maximize the safety of the motoring public.

The services we provide are as follows:

  • Assistance in changing flat tires.

  • Provide enough gasoline to insure arrival at nearest gas station.

  • Clear debris from roadway.

  • Remove vehicles and debris from roadway due to crashes.

  • Relocate disabled vehicles to a safe location.

  • Provide emergency traffic control (lane closures, incident backup, etc.).

  • Provide emergency vehicle services (jump starts, water, air, minor repairs).

  • Contact to Emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance).

  • Contact to private towing services.

  • Contact to family, friends, to provide assistance.
