IE Browser Tip: Use the right mouse button, then "Save Target As" when downloading individual CBID files. Using the left mouse button attempts to run/open the file and could cause system errors.

CBID files contain the pay items and quantities for a contract, as well as macros to prepare and print a bid. These files are in Excel 97 v4.0 (xls).

Please review the instructions carefully before using CBID files to prepare your bid.

CBID files are put on the Website as they become available. If the contract you want is not yet on the list, please check back at a later date.

Note that the CBID filename is the same as the IDOT Contract Number. Please refer to the Transportation Bulletin - Notice of Letting for the correct contract number.

In response to user requests we are making the CBID files available in groups for those who wish to download all of the files at once, rather than one at a time.

Be aware that these are very large files and take a long time to download. To reduce download time, at the download dialogue box, choose "save to disk" and save to your hard drive. Attempting to "run this program" or "open" may cause download errors.

Executables (.exe files) will self extract when you double click the .exe file. In order to know which files are extracted from the .exe file, put the file in an empty folder before extracting.
