OTTAWA,
IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation's District 3
office in Ottawa will hold a corridor protection hearing in
Yorkville on December 11, 2001, regarding a proposed 33 mile
highway corridor to be preserved between Interstates 80 and 88.
The
hearing will be held on Tuesday, December 11, 2001, from 4 p.m.
to 7 p.m. at the Beecher Community Center, 980 Game Farm Road,
in Yorkville. The Community Center is located approximately ¼
mile west of Illinois Route 47 and ½ mile south of U.S. Route 34
on the west side of Yorkville.
The
hearing will be an open house format with no formal
presentation. The public is invited to attend at any time during
the hearing hours.
The
purpose of the hearing is to provide the public the opportunity
to review, discuss, and comment on the corridor proposal.
Displays will be available for public review and IDOT personnel
will be available to answer questions.
The
hearing site is accessible to disabled individuals. Persons
planning on attending the meeting who need special
accommodations, sign language interpreter, or other assistance,
