For The Record 2007 Fiscal Year 2007 Highway Improvement Accomplishments Introduction

The For The Record (FTR) is an annual report of the awards made by the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) for the Illinois highway improvement program. The FTR includes improvements made to both the state and local highway systems. The report details the status of each project published in the Proposed Improvements for Illinois Highways FY 2007 and lists projects added to the program and awarded in addition to the originally published set of projects.

IDOT’s mission is to provide safe, cost-effective transportation for Illinois in ways that enhance the quality of life, promote economic prosperity and demonstrate respect for our environment. This report presents projects in the Proposed Improvements for Illinois Highways FY 2007 program that have been awarded and that accomplish this mission during
FY 2007.

The awarded FY 2007 program totals $1,805.1 million which includes $50.1 million appropriated by the General Assembly from the Road Fund for state assistance to local governments.
