March thru October 2002: Southbound I-57
Two lanes of traffic will be maintained in each direction.

  • March 18Southbound 119th St entrance ramp and the Southbound 127th St exit ramp will close for three weeks.

  • March 23 Permanent lane closures in effect by early April all traffic shifted to the northbound lanes of I-57 from 127th St to I-294

  • October 31 First year work is to be completed.

    Overnight ramp closures will be used at various times to patch and resurface the entrance and exit ramps within the project limits.

Spring to Fall 2003: Northbound I-57

    Exact construction schedule is yet to be finalized.

    Contracts will bid in Fall 2002.
