The Illinois Department of Transportation welcomes you to the official web site for the I-57 rehabilitation project.

This two year project begins March 18, 2002. The project involves the improvement of a 12-mile section of I-57 between the Dan Ryan Expressway (I-90/94) and I-80.

The project is located in: Chicago, Calumet Park, Blue Island, Riverdale, Markham, Country Club Hills, Oak Forest, Posen, Harvey and Dixmoor.

During 2002, the southbound lanes of I-57 will be resurfaced and the bridges rehabilitated. In 2003, similar work will be done on the northbound lanes of I-57.
