IDOT Begins Underground Utility Surveys

Starting in November of 2006, IDOT’s consultant will be performing surveys to locate underground utilities. This work is often referred to as Subsurface Utility Engineering. IDOT will be obtaining the precise location of utilities along Illinois Route 159 to use this information during the development and evaluation of alternatives.

Upcoming Events and Meetings

The Community Advisory Group will meet approximately every two months to discuss project issues and to work towards the development of solutions to the transportation problem on IL Route 159 through Collinsville.

October 29, 2005 - IDOT's consultant participated in Collinsville's Halloween Walk . They distributed candy and postcards to the public to solicit input for the upcoming project.
