Conducts Community Advisory Group Meeting
A meeting of the IL 159 CAG was conducted on January 11, 2011,
from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the IDOT District 8 Headquarters
Regional Room. The purpose of this meeting was to update the CAG
members on the progress of the design of the North Section of
the project. Members of the project team gave an overview of
the final design for this section of the project and fielded
questions from CAG members.

Conducts Public Informational Meeting
IDOT held a Public Informational
Meeting on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00
p.m. at the Collinsville American Legion Post, 1022 Vandalia
Street in Collinsville. The purpose of this meeting was to
discuss upcoming construction of IL 159 from S. Morrison Ave to
Church St. and to introduce the Department’s construction staff
to the public.

Holds Groundbreaking Ceremony
A ground breaking ceremony was
held at 10:00 a.m. August 26, 2010, just South of the Catsup
Bottle, to mark the beginning of construction on the South
Section of IL 159. State and Local officials joined IDOT in
marking this important project milestone.
