Illinois Policy with Non-Metropolitan Officials

In order to meet the federal requirements of 23 CFR 450.212(i), Consultation of Non-Metropolitan Local Officials, the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) submitted a revised policy to the Federal Highway Administration on March 23, 2006.

The original policy was submitted to USDOT to conform to the Federal Register Notice in 2003. This policy was developed with input from non-metropolitan officials across the state. Minor revisions were made to reflect changes in departmental policy that have occurred since the original document was developed in 2003.
