The Kennedy Expressway reversible lanes will be closed for overnight
repairs between the Edens Expressway junction and Addison Street on

September 4 is the first small step being taken to prepare the Dan Ryan
expressway (I-94/I-90) for a massive reconstruction effort over the next

August 5, 2003 - The Illinois Department of Transportation announces
that between Tuesday, August 12, 2003, and Thursday, August 14, 2003,
Chain of Rocks Road in Mitchell, IL, will be closed to all vehicular
traffic at the Alton and Southern Railroad crossing.

earmarked in the state’s next fiscal year budget to continue efforts to
widen U.S. Route 20 – Glacier Shadow Pass -- in northwestern Illinois to
four lanes from Freeport to Galena.

Transportation announces that work is scheduled for 9 miles of
resurfacing on Interstate 74 from US 150 east to the Indiana state line
in Vermilion County. The project includes milling and resurfacing of
both lanes in each direction, and resurfacing the interchange ramps at
"G" Street, Illinois 1, Bowman Avenue and Lynch Road at Danville. Other
work includes upgrading the guardrail and safety related items.

special committee on March 5.

begins the second and final year of major rehabilitation work on this
