PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING
COLLINSVILLE , IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will hold a public informational meeting in the City of Troy, Illinois, on April 14, 2004 to discuss the proposed interchange work at I-55/70 and IL Route 162.
The informational meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 14, at Triad High School , 701 East Highway 40, in Troy , Illinois .
The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the proposed reconstruction of the interchange of I-55/70 and IL Route 162 in the City of Troy , Madison County and to receive public input on the proposal. The project includes reconstructing the current diamond design of the I-55/70 and IL Route 162 interchange to a Single Point Interchange (SPI) design. This project will require land acquisition and utility relocations.
Handouts and display boards will be available for public review, as will information regarding engineering, land acquisition, and environmental issues. Representatives from IDOT and their consultant STV , Inc. will be available to discuss the project and answer questions. The meeting will be an open house format, therefore, no formal presentation will be made.
Interested persons may comment for the record in writing (a comment form will be provided), or verbally using an available tape recorder. Comments may also be mailed or faxed to IDOT or e-mailed to geldertkb @ nt.dot.il.gov on or before April 28, 2004 . The meeting site is accessible to disabled individuals.
