Peoria, IL, July 21, 2003 -- The Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) will hold three identical open house public meetings on August 5, 6 and 7, 2003, to review three alternative study corridors for the potential construction of a four-lane highway, Illinois 336, from Interstate 474 in Peoria to a planned bypass at Macomb.

The meetings will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the following locations:

Tuesday, August 5, 2003
Wednesday, August 6, 2003
Thursday, August 7, 2003
ITOO Society Hall
Canton High School
VFW Post 1921
4909 W. Farmington Road
1001 N. Main Street
1200 E. Jefferson Street
Peoria, Illinois
Canton, Illinois
Macomb, Illinois


The public is invited to attend all of these meetings. Maps and exhibits of the corridors will be available showing the potential locations for improvements under consideration. Study staff will be available for informal discussion with the public, to answer questions and receive comments.

The public may also submit written comments. All written comments received within 10 days after the meetings will be included in the official project record.

Meetings are accessible to disabled individuals. Persons planning to attend the meetings who need a sign language interpreter or other accommodations should notify IDOT at least five (5) days prior to the meeting.
