WHITESIDE COUNTY, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold a public informational meeting in Morrison on August 13 to discuss the proposed improvement of U.S. 30.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, August 13, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Morrison Community High School cafeteria, 643 Genesee Ave., Morrison. The public is invited to attend at any time during the meeting hours. There will be no formal presentation.

The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the plans for the improvement of three miles of U.S. 30 from IL 78 (north) to French Creek, and to receive public input on those plans. The proposed project includes resurfacing the highway, drainage improvements, and a bridge replacement.

Maps, plans, and other pertinent information will be available for public review, and IDOT personnel will be available to discuss the project and answer questions.
