PUBLIC NOTICE
OPEN HOUSE PUBLIC HEARING
SCHEDULED BY ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
FOR
WABASH AVENUE 5-LANE EXPANSION
The Illinois Department of Transportation will hold an Open House Public Hearing on the proposed 5-lane expansion of Wabash Avenue from Moffet St. in Curran to Koke Mill Road . The Open House will be from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, December 13, 2004 in the Knights of Columbus Council # 364 Columbian Hall located at 2200 South Meadowbrook Road, Springfield, IL.
The purpose of the Public Hearing is to provide the public an opportunity to review and comment on the current proposals. Exhibits, maps, and aerial photography of the proposals developed in the study will be available for inspection and viewing during the entire time department representatives are present. All persons interested in this project are invited to attend.
This hearing will be conducted on an informal basis; no formal presentation is planned. Representatives of the Illinois Department of Transportation will be available from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. to answer individual questions and receive comments about the study. Comment sheets will also be provided for those people in attendance who wish to provide a written statement. Comments received at this meeting or sent to the District Six Office by January 14, 2005 , will be included in the official project record. The same material will be available for review and inspection at the District Six Office at 126 East Ash Street, Springfield, Illinois.
A Draft Project Report has been prepared for this project and will be available for review.
This Open House Public Hearing will be accessible to handicapped individuals in compliance with the 1978 Accessibility Standards prepared by the Capital Development Board. Handicapped persons planning to attend and needing special accommodations should notify the District Engineer seven days prior to the meeting.
