DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE (DBE)
OF THE YEAR AWARD PRESENTED

The Illinois Department of Transportation, Bureau of Small Business Enterprises has selected Varsity Striping & Construction Co. of Champaign, Illinois as this years Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) of the Year Award recipient. It is to be noted Varsity Striping & Construction Co. was selected as the statewide winner for this prestigious award. The nomination was submitted by the District Seven Office of the Illinois Department of Transportation.

Varsity Striping & Construction Co. started their business relations with the State in 1981. The company performs work in areas of epoxy pavement markings, paint pavement markings. Thermoplastic pavement markings and raised reflective pavement markers in all nine districts within the State of Illinois.

Ms. Bonnie Kemper was presented a plaque recognizing the exemplary work of Varsity Striping & Construction Co. by Stanley E. Grabski, District Seven District Engineer, Charlie Slavens, District Seven Project Implementation Engineer, and Michael Fox, District Seven Construction Field Engineer.
