IL 50 PATCHING PROJECT FROM FLOSSMOOR TO STEGER ROAD

FOR MATTESON, RICHTON PARK AND UNIVERSITY PARK

SCHAUMBURG -On April 12, weather permitting, the patching project to improve IL 50 ( Cicero Avenue ) will continue in the communities of Matteson, Richton Park and University Park . Most of the work associated with this $4.2 million dollar project was completed last year. The job will resume this spring to finish construction between Vollmer Road and Lincoln Highway (U.S. Route 30).

During the project, one lane will be closed in each direction from 207 th Street to Vollmer Road . Motorists should drive with care through the construction zone and watch for workers. The project is expected to be completed in late May of this year.

The contractor is Gallagher Asphalt of Thornton , Illinois.
