NEW TRAFFIC SIGNALS TO BE INSTALLED

ALONG US 14 ( NORTHWEST HIGHWAY ) IN ARLINGTON HEIGHTS

SCHAUMBURG - On April 5 th , weather permitting a project to modernize traffic signals along a stretch of U.S. 14 ( Northwest Highway), will begin. The $371,000 job will affect the traffic signals from Euclid Avenue to Arlington Heights Road, in Arlington Heights. The work will also include removal and replacement of old signals, improvements to adjacent curbs, sidewalks, medians and a new cross walk configuration at Euclid Avenue.

There will be temporary daily lane closures as needed during the project, keeping one lane open to traffic in each direction. There may also be some nighttime lane closures to protect curing new pavement. The project is expected to be completed by late August.

The contractor is Home Towne Electric, Incorporated of Lake Villa, Illinois.
