I-74 CLOSURE ADVISORY
KNOX COUNTY, IL -- I-74 will be closed at exit 54, and traffic detoured, from
approximately 4:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Sunday, May 19, for bridge beam
replacement.
The closure will be one mile east of Knoxville, which is east of Galesburg,
in Knox County.
Eastbound traffic will exit at Exit 54 and re-enter I-74 using the on-ramp at
the same interchange. Westbound traffic will exit at Exit 71 just west of
Brimfield and follow a marked detour on US 150, and re-enter I-74 using the
on-ramp at the Exit 54 interchange.
The westbound Spoon River Rest Area at mile marker 63 will also be closed
during this time.
Motorists are cautioned to slow down and obey flaggers along the detour
route.
