IDOT Unveils 2011-2012 Highway Map at Illinois State Fair
SPRINGFIELD – Acting Transportation Secretary Ann Schneider
today announced new state highway maps are available, and are
being released at the 2011 Illinois State Fair.
“IDOT understands the importance of providing the most up to
date information to motorists and visitors who consistently
utilize and rely upon Illinois roadways,” said Acting Secretary
Schneider. “A state road map is a valuable resource we believe
all drivers should have in their vehicle while traveling.”
The maps are free to the public. Maps will also be shared
through the Illinois Office of Tourism as part of the Illinois
Travel kit.
A total of 1,750,000 standard and 400,000 large print maps are

Copies of the new map also are available at the 2011 Illinois
State Fair in the Governor’s tent, the IDOT Traffic Safety
