SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking consultants for 18 highway projects across the state. Consultants will be selected on October 29.

The projects are:

1. DISTRICT 1, 12-hour traffic counts at various intersections in the district.
   
   
2. DISTRICT 1, contract plan reviews for various projects in the district.
   
   
3. STEPHENSON / WINNEBAGO, preparation of right-of-way and land acquisition documents for the improvement of IL 75 from US 20 northeast of Freeport to IL 70 south of Durand.
   
   
4. WINNEBAGO, engineering for the rehabilitation of the I-39 structures over the Kiswaukee River.
   
   
5. STEPHENSON / WINNEBAGO, contract plans for the improvement of IL 75 from northeast of Freeport to IL 70 south of Durand.
   
   
6. DISTRICT 2, construction inspection on various project in the northern area of the district.
   
   
7. DISTRICT 2, construction inspection on various project in the southern area of the district.
   
   
8. DISTRICT 2, construction inspection on various project in the eastern area of the district.
   
   
9. DISTRICT 2, construction inspection on various project in the western area of the district.
   
   
10. DISTRICT 3, surveys for land acquisition for various projects in the district.
    
    
11. KENDALL, design report, environmental assessment, and contract plans for the replacement of the IL 25 bridge over Waubansee Creek in Oswego.
    
    
12. LaSALLE / MARSHALL, contract plans for the replacement of the box culverts on IL 178 from IL 71 to Lowell; and for the replacement of the IL 251 structure over Sandy Creek south of IL 18.
    
    
13. PEORIA, construction inspection for the reconstruction of I-74 from Nebraska Ave. to Monroe Ave. in Peoria.
    
    
14. PEORIA, feasibility study of relocating US 24 (Washington St.) to Adams and/or Jefferson Streets from I-74 to Adams St. in Peoria.
    
    
15. MORGAN / SCOTT, contract plans for the replacement of the box culvert on US 67 over Willow Creek Tributary, one mile north of IL 104; and for the replacement of the IL 100 bridge over Walnut Creek, south of Elm St. in Bluffs.
    
    
16. DISTRICT 6, Phase I and II engineering services on various projects in the district.
    
    
17. DISTRICT 8, construction inspection on various projects throughout the district.
    
    
18. STATEWIDE, evaluation of the Hazard Index Formula used for selection of rail/highway grade crossing safety projects.
