SPRINGFIELD, IL -- The Illinois Department of Transportation is seeking consultants for 31 highway projects across the state. Consultants will be selected by special committee on October 2.

The projects are:

1. DISTRICT 1, construction inspection for various projects on a work order basis.
   
2. WILL, plans for the reconstruction and widening 5.5 miles of US 30 from Williams St. to west of US 45.
   
3. WILL, plans for the reconstruction and widening 3.2 miles of US 30 from east of US 45 to IL 43 (Harlem Ave.).
   
4. DuPAGE, plans for the reconstruction and widening 2 miles of IL 19 from I-290 to west of Prospect Ave.
   
5. DISTRICT 1, electrical engineering services for various projects on a work order basis.
   
6. DISTRICT 1, electrical engineering services for various projects on a work order basis.
   
7. DISTRICT 1, plans for structure work and related roadway work for various projects on a work order basis.
   
8. DISTRICT 1, drainage studies and hydraulic reports for various locations on a work order basis.
   
9. DISTRICT 1, land surveys for various roadway projects on a work order basis.
   
10. DISTRICT 1, land surveys for various roadway projects on a work order basis.
    
11. ROCK ISLAND, location/design report for the development of 3.2 miles of IL 5 (John Deere Rd.) between 16^th St. and 70^th St. in Moline.
    
12. STEPHENSON, plans for upgrading a partially constructed expressway to a four-lane freeway on US 20 (Freeport Bypass) from just east of a proposed interchange at IL 75 to west of the Springfield Road interchange.
    
13. DISTRICT 2, Phase I and/or Phase II work for various projects on a work order basis.
    
14. ROCK ISLAND, plans for the rehabilitation of IL 5/Blackhawk Rd. from 24^th St. to 38^th St. in Rock Island.
    
15. DISTRICT 2, land surveys for various roadway projects on a work order basis.
    
16. DISTRICT 2, surveys to set aerial control for various roadway projects on a work order basis.
    
17. WINNEBAGO, location/design report and plans for the development of US 20BR from Meridian Rd. to Rockton Ave. in Rockford.
    
18. DISTRICT 3, Phase I and/or Phase II work for various projects on a work order basis.
    
19. LA SALLE, project report for the reconstruction of the I-80 interchange with IL 178 at Utica and replacement of the IL 178/CH 43 bridge over I-80.
    
20. LA SALLE, project report for reconstruction of the I-80 interchange with IL 251 at Peru, replacement of the IL 251 bridges over I-80, and reconstruction of the May/LaSalle Rd. intersection north of the interchange.
    
21. LA SALLE, project report and plans for the rehabilitation of IL 71/IL 351 from IL 251 to Walnut St. in Oglesby.
    
22. DISTRICT 3, bridge condition report and hydraulic reports for various project on a work order basis.
    
23. PEORIA, plans for work on IL 29/US 24 from Spring St. to Spitznagle St. in Peoria.
    
24. DISTRICT 6, Phase I and/or Phase II work for various projects on a work order basis.
    
25. DISTRICT 7, Phase I and/or Phase II work for various projects on a work order basis.
    
26. DISTRICT 7, construction inspection for various projects on a work order basis.
    
27. ST. CLAIR, MADISON & MONROE, prepare a corridor report for the Outer Belt Transportation Corridor between I-255/US 50 and the IL 3 interchange near Dupo and the I-55/US 40 interchange in Troy.
    
28. DISTRICTS 2-5, traffic signal coordination and timing (SCAT) of various systems on a work order basis in District 2 through 5.
    
29. DISTRICTS 6-9, traffic signal coordination and timing (SCAT) of various systems on a work order basis in District 6 through 9.
    
30. STATEWIDE, conduct overhead sign structure inspections.
    
31. DISTRICT 3, Phase I of the Prairie Parkway study which will include a corridor report, design report, and environmental impact statement.
