The Department's hotline has received 322 calls from the public as of November 1, 2003. The hotline was established for the public to report abuse of state work time and vehicles, as well as to report on the good things IDOT employees are doing.
The largest percentage of calls continues to be compliments to the men and women of IDOT on the job they are doing. Seventy-seven of the calls, 27.33 percent, praised the jobs employees were doing.
The Secretary urges the public to continue to call the hotline with their comments about the job the Department is doing, and with their complaints as well. The number is 1-800-452-4368.
"We will continue to report monthly on the phone calls received, and refine ways we view the data to improve our performance with our customers," Martin added.
