I-64 Lane Additions in St. Clair County

The project consists of 7.7 miles of two lane additions and bituminous concrete resurfacing on I-64 from IL Rte. 157 to Greenmount Road ; includes bridge replacement, bridge repairs, and reconstruction of IL Rte. 157 and various structures. One lane will be added to the passing lane in each direction separated by a concrete median.

COLLINSVILLE , IL , September 30, 2004 —The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that lane restrictions will be encountered along Illinois Route 157 at the Interstate 64 interchange in St. Clair County beginning on Monday, October 4, 2004 , weather permitting. These lane restrictions will require stage construction utilize temporary traffic signals. This work is expected to be completed by November 24, 2005 . The contractor on this project is Fred Weber Inc., Inc. from Maryland Heights , Missouri . Joseph G. COLLINSVILLE , IL , November 4, 2004 —The Illinois Department of Transportation today announced that lane restrictions will be encountered along Interstate 64 from Illinois Route 157 to Greenmount Road in St. Clair County beginning on Monday, November 8, 2004 , weather permitting. These lane restrictions are needed to patch the existing pavement. This work is expected to be completed by November 24, 2004 . No lane restrictions will be encountered on weekend or between the hours of 6:00 A.M. and 9:00 A.M. in the westbound direction and between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. in the eastbound direction on weekdays.
