| In addition to significant changes to the Illinois Procurement
Code, Senate Bill 51/3576 made changes to the Illinois Grant Funds
Recovery Act (30 ILCS 705 et al) that affects state grantor agencies
and universities that disburse grant funds for applicable grant
programs. The Illinois Grant Funds Recovery Act applies to any
agency of State government which dispenses grant funds. It requires
all grant applicants to submit an application and set forth
information that is required to be part of the grant application. It
requires all grants have written agreements that include specific
provisions. The law also includes new grantee reporting requirements
and makes other changes to improve the State’s monitoring efforts.
