The United States Department of Transportation issued a
final rule, effective February 28, 2011, that adjusted a requirement of the
Disadvantaged Business Enterprise program. This rule changes the personal net
worth threshold for DBE owners from $750,000 to $1.32 million.

The Office of Small Business Service’s Bureau of Small Business Enterprises would like to announce that in today’s
Federal Register, the United States Department of Transportation adjusted the size caps for firms participating in the ACDBE (airport concessions DBE Program) and DBE programs under 49 CFR Parts 23 and 26, and the adjustments are effective immediately (April 3, 2009). The ACDBE Program size cap was adjusted from $47,780,000 to $52,470,000 and the DBE Program size cap was adjusted from $20,410,000 to $22,410,000.

The Office of Business & Workforce Diversity’s Bureau of Small Business Enterprises has set the dates of February 21-22, 2012, for its
“Today’s Challenge, Tomorrow’s Reward 2012 DBE Conference.” The conference will be held at the Abraham Lincoln Hotel & Conference Center in Springfield.
