- Effective January 1, 2010, a
new law will make it illegal to use
a cell phone, personal digital assistant (PDA) or portable
computer to compose, send or read messages or access the
Internet while driving.

Another new law
effective January 1, 2010, prohibits cell phone use entirely
within a school speed zone, construction zone or if the driver is
under the age of 19 years.
