Traffic Law Enforcement Program Phase II (TLEP-II) is designed to address traffic safety problems which might be effectively resolved by education and increased traffic enforcement by local police. Phase II grants are still available for the actual enforcement of the previously identified high-crash areas and the contributing traffic violations. An additional component is participation in national and state mobilizations. Agencies that have not participated in this program in the past will not be considered for this grant program. 

Agencies that do participate are limited to 3 years in the program. 

Changes have been made to the FFY 2009 Specifications for the TLEP-II program to require SFST training.

In order to apply for this program the Specifications for the TLEP-II Grant and the TS 08 Highway Safety Project Agreement listed below must both be downloaded and completed. The other forms listed below are used for the administration of the grant once it is awarded.

Year long grant applications will be accepted through April 3, 2008.
