ILLINOIS TRAFFIC STOP STATISTICAL STUDY
2007 ANALYSIS

Northwestern University Center for Public Safety has provided an analysis of Illinois’ traffic stops for the year 2007.

2007 Illinois Traffic Stop Report –  Select this option to view the 2007 report. This report contains the statewide analysis and an analysis for each reporting law enforcement agency in Illinois.
     
2007 Illinois Traffic Stop Summary Select this option to view the 2007 Executive Summary and List of Agencies that Failed to Submit.
     
Illinois Traffic Stop Ratio Data   Select this option to view the ratio data for each reporting agency for the years 2004-2007.

To obtain a copy of the 2007 raw data, email IDOT at racialprofiling@dot.il.gov, and a CD containing the data will be mailed to you.  Please include all necessary mailing information (name and mailing address) and the data format requested.  Only one copy of the data will be sent per request.  

The deliverable data format is:  a Statewide ASCII delimited text file, approximately 419 MB in size or 1,041 individual agency ASCII delimited text files.  These files can be imported into a database (Instructions included with deliverable CD).

Please be advised, due the large amount of data contained in the Statewide format, this file may not open properly if the client computer has low memory.
