US 136 Reconstruction project is complete!

The Main Street Reconstruction project is substantially complete. A small amount of clean-up and landscaping will be done in Spring 2008.

Duce Construction built a strong and beautiful roadway that will serve the Danville community for decades to come. The project was completed with an approximate 2.5% cost overrun. The final cost was about $7.2 million.

IDOT greatly appreciates everyone's patience throughout the construction. The Main Street community was very cooperative and understanding.

The last section of the Main Street Rehabilitation is not programmed for a few years. The roadway will be widened and the existing asphalt will be removed and replaced from Nicklas Street to east of Kansas Avenue. The work will be similar to the middle section.

Please enjoy the photos of the finished roadway, to view the photos click on the Project Photos link.
