The Illinois Department of Transportation will be working with a consultant, Teng & Associates, Inc. to complete a bridge type study for the new Illinois river bridge to be constructed at Beardstown. As part of the study, a citizens advisory committee has been selected. The Department is working with committee members to assist in formalizing the committee organization; establish leadership roles, communication channels and consensus process; determine the project's context and settings; and identify the community views and issues for the new river bridge. The next CSS committee meeting is scheduled for August 21, 2008 from 6pm to 8pm at the Golden Age Center in Beardstown. The public is invited to attend.
