Welcome
The
Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) welcomes
you to the US Route 67 (US 67) website. The US 67
Corridor in Illinois extends nearly 220 miles from
Interstate 280 (I-280) at Rock Island to I-270 south of
Alton along a north south alignment in west central
Illinois. US 67 is predominately 2 lanes with the
exception of the following multi-lane divided highway
sections:
• Macomb to Monmouth
• 24 mile section
that bypasses Jacksonville on the west.
• Alton Bypass
(IL 255).
This
website will focus on the status of the current effort
to improve this alignment along its entire length. Many
sections of the corridor have been placed on the
Department’s multi-year program with the intent to
develop it into a multilane divided highway
configuration over most of its length.
A map
showing the alignment and the various sections being
improved is available on this website. Each of the
various sections can be highlighted to display the
current status and progress.
You are
encouraged to address comments to the Department. An
email link is available directly to the Department or if
you prefer, the proper mailing address for directing
your concerns about each of the various sections will be
available.

information about the highway construction process from
start to finish, a link is available to an informative
pamphlet published by IDOT entitled, “It Takes Time...”.
